About this role
Role Overview
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing retail partners to drive growth and results.
Ability to gather and interpret data, distilling key insights and trends to tell a compelling business story.
Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and use data to shape account strategy, drive decisions, and communicate with stakeholders.
Identify and execute new store growth opportunities and overall sales growth across assigned accounts.
Combine big-picture planning with hands-on actions to help retail partners improve performance and profitability.
Serve as the main point of contact for retailers, collaborating closely with operations, marketing, culinary, and finance teams.
Use market and industry insights to help position Hissho Sushi as an innovative leader in the sushi space.
Lead business reviews and planning meetings with senior retail leaders to align goals and drive growth.
Manage promotions, pricing, and performance analysis with a strategic approach.
Collaborate closely with the Operations Director to ensure optimal in-store execution.
Requirements
5+ years of account management experience within the grocery, food service, or CPG industry; sushi industry experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to work across departments (operations, marketing, culinary, supply chain) to deliver cohesive business strategies.
Strong business acumen and experience analyzing sales, margin, and customer behavior trends to make informed decisions.
Professional maturity with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of personal discipline.
Strong prioritization abilities; capable of maintaining focus and clarity in fast-paced environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
Experience in contract negotiation.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute day-to-day tasks while keeping long-term goals in view.
Comfortable leading meetings and presenting to retail partners independently.
Proactive in identifying and acting on growth opportunities.
