Nscale is a GPU cloud provider focused on AI, offering high-performance infrastructure for AI startups and large enterprises. The Employee Relations Senior Manager will act as a trusted advisor on workplace conduct and compliance, managing employee relations cases and guiding managers through complex issues.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, managing a caseload of grievances, complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary issues from intake through resolution
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations; document findings and recommend appropriate corrective action
- Advise and guide employees and managers on the interpretation and consistent application of company policies, procedures, applicable employment law and with guidance from the employment legal team
- Lead or contribute to organisation‑wide Employee Relations programmes and initiatives, including organisational change, redundancy and transformation activity involving multiple stakeholders
- Coach people managers through performance management, progressive discipline, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and difficult conversations
- Partner with People Partners and leadership to resolve complex, escalated, or high-sensitivity employee issues
- Build manager capability through proactive guidance and training
- Ensure compliance with applicable local employment laws and regulations; monitor legislative changes and update policies and practices accordingly
- Develop, review, and revise People policies and employee relations procedures
- Partner with Legal and outside employment counsel on high-risk matters
- Manage terminations, offboarding, and reductions in force in a legally compliant, consistent, and respectful manner
- Facilitate mediation and conflict-resolution sessions between individuals or teams, working toward durable, fair outcomes
- Identify and address interpersonal or cultural issues before they escalate
- Track, analyze, and report on employee relations trends, metrics, and case outcomes; identify root causes and recommend proactive interventions
- Design and deliver training for managers and employees on topics such as anti-harassment, code of conduct, respectful workplace, and investigation best practices in collaboration with the Compliance team
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture
