Arlington County's Department of Human Resources is seeking a Safety & Occupational Health Program Manager to independently lead the development, implementation, and administration of County-wide occupational safety and health (OSHA/VOSH) policies and programs. Operating under general direction with broad latitude, this highly autonomous role serves as a subject matter expert tasked with managing programs designed to prevent injury, reduce liability, and minimize property damage. and then move the ideal candidate statement (below) to right here and then flow into the responsibilities.

Background Check: A pre-employment criminal records check will be conducted. It will include checks of the following: criminal record, driving record, education, professional licensure, and credit history. Driver’s License: Applicant must possess, or obtain by time of appointment, a valid driver’s license, and must provide or authorize Arlington County to obtain a copy of official driving record. Any offer of employment may be contingent upon favorable review of the applicant’s driving record. Alternatively, the applicant must have the ability and willingness to use alternative methods of transportation to perform assigned duties and responsibilities at locations other than the primary worksite.

Additional Information
Work hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday; occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Starting salary is commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected.
