Empact Technologies is a leading provider of compliance and risk management solutions for the clean energy and critical infrastructure sectors. They are seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager who will bridge product development, marketing leadership, and enterprise sales, utilizing AI to streamline processes and enhance product positioning.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep-dive research into evolving IRA and OBBB requirements to identify unmet customer needs and define Empact’s "right to win" in existing and emerging categories of compliance and risk management
- Manage the collection and prioritization of customer requirements. Translate these into Business Cases and Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and actionable user stories for the product team
- Own the strategic packaging of Empact’s software and services. Define how we bundle features to solve specific pain points for different buyers, customer types, and tax credit requirements
- Create and manage product launch playbooks for new features and platform capabilities, including positioning, messaging, internal training, and external communications
- Systematically capture feedback from sales calls and customer success interactions to highlight emerging market concerns or workflow friction to the broader team
- Participate in QBRs and high-stakes technical deep-dives to ensure long-term platform adoption and expansion
- Act as the primary SME during the sales cycle, advising prospects on the technical mechanics of regulatory compliance (PWA, FEOC, etc.) and how Empact de-risks their projects
- Develop high-fidelity sales tools that demonstrate technical value, such as ROI models, compliance checklists, and technical white papers that support the broader marketing messaging
- Lead sophisticated product demos of the NexusIQ™ platform, tailored specifically to the technical requirements and buyer personas of the prospect
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience across Product Marketing and/or Sales Engineering within an enterprise SaaS environment
- Strong functional knowledge of both disciplines is required
- Experience in or with regulated industries that require complex compliance, such as financial services or public works
- Proven ability to work with Engineering teams to prioritize roadmaps and translate customer 'wants' into technical 'needs.'
- Comfortable with using AI to streamline work, and working with an AI-driven product
- You don't just use AI to polish content, you build with it
- You can point to specific examples where you have used AI to automate meaningful slices of marketing or sales engineering work, such as: content production pipelines, website update workflows, market and competitive research agents, MRD generation from raw customer inputs, synthetic-data demo environments for sales use cases, or automated enablement libraries
- You lead with the answer and are comfortable operating independently to produce high-quality deliverables under tight timelines
- Fluency with speaking to different audiences (e.g., customers, partners, product / engineering team, sales), ensuring the appropriate level of detail, and translating between contexts
- Deep understanding of the clean energy financing ecosystem including stakeholders, timelines / stages, and pain points
- Familiarity with the world of tax – how credits work, who buys them, how diligence is conducted, tax equity structures
- Background in investment banking, management consulting, or other environment
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: agent frameworks (e.g., Claude, GPT, LangChain, n8n, Zapier AI), retrieval-augmented generation, prompt orchestration, AI-driven content management, or building synthetic datasets for demos and testing
- Light coding or scripting (Python, SQL, or no-code automation) is a plus
