Serve as the engineering leader for assigned generator upgrade projects.
Plan and monitor engineering activities to fulfill project scope within established time frame and quality standards.
Provide technical leadership and interfaces with Project Manager, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, and Engineering sub-contractors.
Lead high-impact generator upgrade projects within the organization and support initiatives for improvements and team development.
Own risk management and risk mitigations by supporting the team in all ongoing projects.
Develop processes to monitor and control risk within projects in execution.
Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance the efficiency of the generator upgrades team.
Manage a cross-functional engineering team and provide technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and GE’s internal engineering teams.
Review customer specifications and communicate project requirements to all design functions using internal documentation systems.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of experience in Generator Engineering, Power Generation Operation, or Generator-related activities; or a High School Diploma / GED and 10+ years of relevant Generator work experience.
Site, manufacturing or design experience with generators.
Project management experience in complex engineering projects.
Background in continuous improvement, developing methods, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in Excel or programming tools to automate manual tasks.
Ability to develop others' skills and technical knowledge.
Excellent leadership skills, empathy, and a collaborative "one team" approach.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
