Own risk management and risk mitigations by supporting the team in all ongoing projects
Develop processes to monitor and control risk within projects in execution
Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance the efficiency of the generator upgrades team
Monitor and improve the productivity of generator upgrade projects
Ensure opportunities for margin accretion and track project costs using EAC (Estimate at Completion) metrics
Be accountable for leading the technical development of the project engineering team
Assume the project management role for generator upgrades: Own the engineering execution of generator upgrades from contract signature to the completion of GE's contractual obligations
Manage a cross-functional engineering team
Provide technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and GE’s internal engineering teams
Review customer specifications and communicate project requirements to all design functions
Evaluate the financial and schedule impact of customer-requested scope changes

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of experience in Generator Engineering, Power Generation Operation, or Generator-related activities; or a High School Diploma / GED and 10+ years of relevant Generator work experience
Site, manufacturing or design experience with generators
Project management experience in complex engineering projects
Background in continuous improvement, developing methods, tools, and processes
Proficiency in Excel or programming tools to automate manual tasks
Ability to develop others' skills and technical knowledge
Excellent leadership skills, empathy, and a collaborative "one team" approach
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
