Senior Inside Sales Account Executive - $200k Salary with Commission

A confidential electrical distribution company is hiring a Senior Inside Sales Account Executive to manage key customer relationships and drive profitable revenue growth. The role supports complex commercial and industrial electrical projects through account management, quotations, project coordination, and technical sales.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and expand relationships with key electrical contractors, commercial accounts, and other customers
• Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts
• Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining profitability and gross margin objectives
• Proactively follow up on quotations, outstanding opportunities, and potential lost sales
• Build long-term customer relationships through technical expertise, responsiveness, and exceptional service
• Partner with Outside Sales representatives to develop account strategies and secure new business
• Prepare, review, and manage complex quotations for commercial, industrial, and electrical construction projects
• Oversee large customer orders from initial quotation through fulfillment and delivery
• Coordinate product pricing, availability, sourcing, and delivery requirements
• Recommend appropriate electrical products, alternatives, and substitutions based on project specifications
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, and Outside Sales teams to ensure successful project execution
• Resolve customer issues involving pricing, product availability, order discrepancies, and delivery schedules
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on electrical products, applications, and industry trends
• Support sales opportunities involving electrical infrastructure, lighting, controls, and clean energy technologies
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and customer purchasing trends
• Leverage established industry relationships to strengthen customer engagement and increase sales
• Maintain accurate sales activity, quotations, and customer information within company systems

Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of progressive sales experience in electrical distribution , including significant inside sales and account management responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of electrical products, materials, and applications used in commercial and industrial construction
• Proven track record of managing high-value customer accounts and driving profitable revenue growth
• Extensive experience preparing complex quotations, negotiating pricing, and managing large customer orders
• Established relationships within the electrical contracting and electrical distribution industries
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies, gross margins, and account profitability
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple accounts, projects, and competing priorities
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and sales-related business applications
• Experience supporting major commercial electrical contractors and large construction projects
• Strong existing relationships with electrical contractors, purchasing managers, and key decision-makers
• Experience with project-based sales, contract pricing, and complex electrical material packages
• Familiarity with electrical manufacturers, vendor programs, and product sourcing
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior Inside Sales representatives
