National Account Sales Manager

The growing CPG food company is seeking an experienced National Account Sales Manager to drive growth across its national sales channel. The role will implement sales and brand strategies, develop relationships with key retail customers and broker partners, expand distribution and product offerings, and collaborate with leadership on sales strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales goals in partnership with the leadership team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate buyers, category managers, and other key customer contacts
• Maintain a consistent schedule of headquarters calls with key retail accounts
• Coordinate and collaborate with broker representatives to drive account performance and growth
• Grow the account base and identify opportunities to expand product offerings within existing customers
• Support new product rollouts and limited time offering programs
• Establish productive, professional relationships with key sales personnel and broker partners
• Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and develop solutions based on results
• Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activity by account and identify opportunities for improvement
• Leverage existing relationships and industry knowledge to develop new sales channels and business opportunities
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
• Contribute to the development of sales budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans
• Partner with leadership to support the development of a long-term, sustainable sales strategy and structure
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the organization’s values, goals, and policies

Requirements:

• • 5–10 years of sales experience within the CPG food industry
• • Demonstrated experience developing and managing relationships with key retail customers
• • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with leadership and colleagues
• • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to execute responsibilities efficiently
• • Flexible and adaptable working style with the ability to manage shifting priorities
• • Strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for a variety of audiences
• • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
• • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
