Business Analyst - Crop Insurance SME

MCT develops, implements, and supports web-based applications for agencies and approved insurance providers (AIPs) in the agricultural insurance industry. The Business Analyst – Crop Insurance SME bridges business needs and technology solutions by gathering requirements, mapping processes, creating functional specifications, and supporting system enhancements, testing, and user training.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and analyzing business requirements from agencies and AIPs
• Mapping current and future business processes
• Translating domain expertise into functional specifications for development teams
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine workflows
• Validate system enhancements
• Ensure solutions effectively support crop insurance operations, data management, and compliance
• Conducting requirements workshops
• Performing gap and impact analysis
• Documenting user stories and use cases
• Supporting testing and user training for new features and products

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess strong Business Analysis and Business Requirements skills, including experience eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements for complex software solutions
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and perform gap analysis for crop insurance and agricultural risk management processes
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and prepare clear documentation and presentations
• Candidates should possess Business Process expertise, including the ability to model, optimize, and align workflows with industry regulations and organizational goals
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams
• In-depth knowledge of crop insurance, agricultural risk management, or property and casualty insurance is highly beneficial
• Experience working with web-based or SaaS solutions, especially in insurance or agriculture, is preferred
