Social Media Marketing Intern

Momma Chill is an early-stage, founder-led company that supports ambitious moms navigating the complexities of motherhood. They are seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern to manage Instagram content planning, creation, and performance tracking, translating founder-led concepts into engaging content for the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Translating approved founder ideas, stories, and draft copy into approximately 8–10 pieces of Instagram content each month
• Creating polished carousels, static posts, Stories, and 1–2 straightforward Reels per month using Canva and approved brand assets
• Drafting or editing captions based on founder-developed messaging
• Applying current Instagram best practices, including visual storytelling, searchable language, audience relevance, and clear calls to action
• Developing a proposed monthly content calendar based on themes and business priorities provided by the founder
• Scheduling approved content
• Identifying relevant platform trends, formats, or creative ideas for Momma Chill to consider
• Pulling basic performance metrics such as reach, saves, shares, engagement, and follower growth
• Highlighting patterns and recommending small content adjustments based on performance
• Helping organize brand templates, content systems, and repeatable workflows for future use

Requirements:

• Passionate about social media and understand how visual storytelling captures attention and drives audience action
• Self-starter with strong follow-through, comfortable generating ideas independently
• Prior experience in social media management or content creation
• Comfortable using Canva and have familiarity with Reels, short-form video, and post scheduling
• Ability to take a rough idea or draft and turn it into clear, polished content
• Comfortable analyzing basic performance metrics (reach, saves, engagement rate) to optimize content plans
• Interested in learning how brand strategy, storytelling, audience growth, and business objectives work together
