Business Systems Analyst - Workday Financials

Workday is a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform for managing people, money, and agents. They are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their WOW Finance team, where the role involves driving process and system improvements for the finance organization and providing technical mentorship. The BSA will analyze business problems and recommend solutions to enhance automation and efficiency, while ensuring successful maintenance and configuration of Workday solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with out Business Finance, Tax, & Treasury business partners to understand business processes, goals and gaps
• Drive the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system improvements in Workday
• Leverage business knowledge and expertise to find opportunities for process improvements
• Participate in the change management and launch support processes of any new and modification of existing configuration
• Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain experts and end-user representatives
• Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met
• Assist project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional Business Analyst experience supporting finance teams and processes
• 5+ years of experience with the implementation and administration of financial applications
• 3+ years of experience with Workday Financials
• Experience detailing and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, applications, and solutions. Ability to take takeaways and share with others to improve the overall skill of the team
• Ability to understand common issues and mentor others to drive work down to the most appropriate level of support
• Self-motivated, flexible, teammate with validated multi-tasking, time management & organization
• Interpersonal, teamwork, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to help define team processes, make recommendations regarding areas of improvement
• Open to 50% reporting to our Pleasanton or Atlanta, GA office
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
• Previous consulting experience either as a consultant with a consulting company or an internal consultant, a plus
