Lead Product Designer (Remote)

E2 is an early-stage startup focused on improving older adults’ experiences with technology. They are seeking a Lead Product Designer to set up and execute design for their first product, a SaaS platform aimed at helping older adults master technology through a senior-centric design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a design strategy that solves customer needs and achieves business goals
• Own all aspects of product design — everything from design aesthetic to the interaction model — across web and mobile
• Employ research, storytelling, design systems, and design thinking to solve customer needs and achieve business goals
• Prototype and iterate quickly based on experience and Lean Discovery evidence
• Partner with product and engineering to ensure high-quality and consistent implementation and UX
• Provide input and opinions on brand & marketing design

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in product design roles
• 5+ years experience building and managing product design teams for SaaS platforms
• 2+ years experience Customer Support platforms
• Experience in API-based SaaS system architectures
• Knowledgeable & experienced in Lean & Agile dual-track sprint teams, or in methods with similar intentions & impact
• Excellence and enjoyment in working with people, coaching and mentoring staff
• Excellent communicator and translator of product discovery, IxD, UX, and HCD principles
• Engaged in contemporary product design professional discussion & research
• You value servant leadership, curiosity, empathy for users, social responsibility, and advancing ethical technology policies & practices
• Eligible to work in the US
• Ideally based in NYC, or remotely within the US time zones
