Pieces is a globally distributed startup enabling developers to save, search, reuse, and share their work. They are seeking a Technical Growth Marketing Manager to lead user acquisition through data-driven marketing strategies and engage developer communities to improve awareness and adoption of their product.
Responsibilities:
- Experimenting with traditional and new channels: Rapidly experiment with marketing channels to drive awareness and conversion, aiming to discover low-effort, high-impact strategies that can be consistently replicated. These channels can include content marketing, SEO, paid ads, social media, events and new creative ways to acquire users
- Helping track growth KPIs as they relate to growth marketing experiments: Establish and monitor key performance indicators aligned with business goals to evaluate partnership effectiveness and overall growth. Your mission is to drive Activated Signups, and you need to be able to measure how your experiments impact these metrics (signups and activations)
- Act as editor in chief: You will help us build a strong and authentic brand for Pieces within the developer community by managing all our content like blogs, social media, technical docs etc. and other external communications
- Tracking trends within developer communities: Keep a pulse on what our target audiences care about and pay attention to, in order to develop new ways to naturally get in front of them using different channels like Reddit, Quora, Stack Overflow, etc
Requirements:
- You've marketed to developers: You have experience in a growth marketing, PLG, digital marketing, or similar role for developer-focused products. You understand the unique challenges and opportunities of a developer audience. You know how to write content or create developer-focused messaging
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals: You understand SEO, SEM, content creation, and digital marketing channels—excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- You're a creative problem-solver: You have strong intuition and are comfortable with experimentation and iterative learning. You thrive on finding creative solutions to complex challenges. You should have a solid split between creativity and logic
- Familiarity with technologies: You have a basic understanding of web development frameworks and programming languages. Familiarity with Pieces, GitHub Copilot, and other developer-enhancing tools
- AI/ML knowledge would be a bonus but not essential
