Fulton Bank is a financial institution seeking an Agile Product Owner for Risk Management. The role is primarily responsible for maximizing agile team value by aligning the team backlog with customer and stakeholder needs, driving product vision, and managing stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities:
- Maximizing agile team value by ensuring the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs
- Guiding and influencing a team to envision, prioritize, and build digital products and solutions
- Working with multiple stakeholders across the company to drive value through technology solutions
- Building and managing key relationships, synthesizing information from multiple sources, maintaining business alignment in the Team Backlog, and communicating effectively with various audiences
- Making data-driven decisions based on key performance indicators, user feedback, and market research to optimize product features and drive continuous improvement
- Deciding what work gets prioritized in the backlog, what work gets declined, and what work is moved forward
- Building requirements when work items get prioritized
- Overseeing the team’s activities to develop/test/implement prioritized items once they are in the sprint
- Using OKRs as a cornerstone for team focus and managing the agile team’s product backlog and prioritizing based on changing requirements
- Defining Minimal Viable Products and strategically de-scoping to achieve goals
- Playing a key role in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives and participating in scrum meetings
- Working closely with others to develop and decide which user stories will be in the next sprints
- Translating business requirements into clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Working closely with agile team members to define and drive product vision and distill a product roadmap while guiding cross-functional focus
- Setting goals for the aligned team around productivity, effectiveness, quality, and speed of the delivery team, while aligning team activities to achieve LOB OKRs
- Being accountable for goal achievement and team performance
- Responsible for stakeholder communication and alignment and managing expectations with business sponsors and executives
- Monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and existing product or process pain points in order to refine existing and/or new product portfolio to derive maximum value for the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business or Technology
- 2 or more years Agile/DevSecOps experience
- 5 or more years demonstrated experience in independently influencing and engaging employees across all levels of the organization
- 5 or more years successfully leading a team, with or without direct reporting relationships
- 5 or more years presenting ideas and discussions with confidence and poise and to audiences at various levels of an organization, effectively engaging senior leaders and stakeholders
- 5 or more years experience enabling business capability and objectives through technology
- Ability to think critically and provide insights that influence decision-making reflecting a deep understanding of business objectives
- Ability to prioritize backlogs effectively
- Ability to guide, inspire, and influence cross-functional teams
- Team player with a professional presence able to influence all levels of the organization
- Financial Institution Business acumen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and agile development teams
- Master's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business or Technology
- 5 or more years financial institution experience
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or related
