PLC Controls Engineer

Maximus Tech Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PLC Controls Engineer to join their engineering team. This role offers an opportunity for fresh graduates or early-career engineers to gain hands-on expertise in industrial automation and controls within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi) on the production floor
• Support design, installation, and commissioning of automated systems and control panels
• Work with HMI/SCADA systems for monitoring and process control
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical and controls-related issues to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers on new and existing projects
• Maintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and functional specs
• Follow safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations

Requirements:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
• 0–2 years of experience (internship / project experience in PLC programming is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix / Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, or equivalent
• Familiarity with HMI development, sensor integration, and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Exposure to robotics, servo drives, or VFDs
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
• Understanding of ISA / IEC 61131-3 standards
