Hyland is the pioneer of the Content Innovation Cloud™, delivering enterprise intelligence solutions. The Associate Sales Development Representative role focuses on outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification to connect with potential customers and drive sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery calls with account managers to qualify lead prospects, gather key information, educate on Hyland's core product offerings, and determine viability for a sale
- Maintain purposeful, regular contact with identified prospects through emails, phone calls, and other relevant outreach activities to add value and drive opportunities forward
- Generate new qualified lead prospects by developing targeted customer lists and executing outbound calling and email campaigns
- Participate in events and trade shows, making meaningful contact with potential customers at the booth and ensuring proper lead follow-up after each event
- Introduce account managers to potential customers when leads advance to genuine sales opportunities, transitioning all critical customer information for a seamless handoff
- Partner with field reps and cross-functional teams to develop targeted campaigns, update all internal systems with activity records, and assist prospects with reviewing and drafting proposal documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with prior experience in an inside sales or sales associate role
- Clear, confident communicator — able to speak and write with ease, clarity, and impact using a style appropriate to the subject and audience
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain trust, and ask probing questions to uncover quality information and understand prospect needs
- Solid business acumen with a self-motivated, high-energy approach and an engaging level of enthusiasm for connecting with people and driving results
- Sharp, fast learner with a genuine curiosity for technology and the aptitude to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment — with up to 5% travel required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office, with comfort navigating multiple platforms and internal systems simultaneously
- A natural ability to thoroughly investigate situations, ask the right questions, and surface relevant information that moves deals forward
- Experience working cross-functionally with field reps, account managers, or other teams to execute targeted outreach campaigns
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with high attention to detail and the drive to manage multiple prospects and tasks without losing momentum
- An eagerness to grow within a sales career, with an openness to coaching, feedback, and continuous learning
