Fannie Mae is foundational to housing finance, and they are seeking a Principal for Multifamily Customer Engagement and Partner Management. This role involves consulting with management, overseeing customer network development, and supporting customer engagement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Building strong relationships with multifamily owners and DUS lenders by developing customized financing strategies and delivering best‑in‑class customer service
- Partner with credit, legal, risk, and servicing teams to structure transactions that balance mission and market objectives with sound credit principles
- Providing guidance and recommendations on promoting and selling Fannie Mae's products and services
- Providing subject matter expertise, best practices, and recommendations to management
Requirements:
- 8 years relevant experience
- Strong understanding of Fannie Mae multifamily products and DUS/GSE underwriting standards
- Ability to deliver training on complex products and processes and support internal and external learning
- Demonstrates curiosity and adaptability by learning and responsibly applying new techniques, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work
- Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated relationship management skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong client relationship management, and ability to offer solutions to complex issues
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for communicating complex transactions to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders
- Adept at delivering clear and concise presentations tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences
