IMPACTER is a company that builds K–12 assessment and curriculum systems to help schools measure and grow competencies for the future. They are seeking a detail-oriented HR & Operations Analyst to manage day-to-day Human Resources and payroll functions while also overseeing essential accounting and bookkeeping workflows.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Payroll Processing: Own the preparation, verification, and timely execution of semi-monthly payroll cycles for all W-2 employees and contract personnel
- Employee Onboarding & Compliance: Manage the new-hire documentation lifecycle, ensuring flawless execution of Forms I-9, W-4s, state tax withholdings, direct deposits, and internal policy acknowledgments
- HR Data & Systems Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee profiles, org charts, and compliance trackers within our HRIS and internal systems
- Benefits Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits enrollment, tracking payroll deductions, and assisting with annual renewals
- Daily Financial Tracking: Manage routine bookkeeping entries, categorize expenses, and monitor accounts payable/receivable to support the VP of Finance
- Invoice & Expense Management: Review, verify, and process corporate invoices and employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and general ledger alignment
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records remain accurate and trusted
- Audit & Reporting Support: Assist the VP of Finance in pulling documentation and preparing ledger schedules for quarterly reporting, board updates, and tax filings
- Provide cross-functional administrative bandwidth for special operational projects as they arise
- Identify opportunities to automate or streamline existing HR and bookkeeping workflows
