Huisong is a global supplier of botanical extracts, herbal raw materials, and functional ingredients used in various industries. They are seeking a Business Development Manager or Senior Account Manager to manage customer relationships and develop new business opportunities in the nutraceutical ingredient sector.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify new sales opportunities with supplement brands, manufacturers, contract manufacturers, distributors, and other B2B customers
- Respond to customer inquiries, RFQs, pricing requests, sample requests, and product availability questions
- Support customers through the ingredient evaluation, vendor approval, and commercialization process
- Provide product specifications, COAs, technical documents, and other customer support materials
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service
- Maintain accurate customer notes, sales activity, pipeline updates, and forecasts in the CRM system
- Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
- Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of B2B sales, account management, inside sales, business development, or customer relationship management experience
- Experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, food ingredients, botanical extracts, pharmaceutical raw materials, specialty ingredients, chemicals, industrial supply, or another technical B2B product category
- Ability to understand and communicate product information, specifications, COAs, and quality-related documentation
- Strong communication, follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable managing multiple customers, projects, and long sales cycles
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
- Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Nutrition, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field
- Experience using a CRM system such as Salesforce
- Existing relationships in the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food ingredient, or botanical ingredient industry
- Knowledge of botanical ingredients, herbal raw materials, or dietary supplement applications
