Acunor is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance to join their team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and technology by gathering and documenting business requirements, performing data analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver enterprise insurance solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, Product Owners, developers, QA, and data engineering teams to gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications to support solution delivery
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into functional solutions
- Perform SQL-based data analysis, validate source-to-target mappings, investigate data issues, and support business rule validation
- Develop and maintain data mapping, interface specifications, and other functional documentation required for insurance technology initiatives
- Support system integration, data migration, testing activities (SIT/UAT), defect triage, and release validation throughout the SDLC
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Manage stakeholder communication, requirement traceability, risk identification, and ensure successful delivery of business solutions aligned with project objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 7+ years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Data Analyst experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance experience
- Strong knowledge of Policy Administration, Claims Management, and Underwriting processes
- Experience gathering business requirements and conducting stakeholder workshops
- Expertise in BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Functional Specifications, Process Mapping, and Gap Analysis
- Hands-on SQL experience for data validation and business analysis
- Experience with source-to-target mapping, interface mapping, and data analysis
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, defect management, and release validation
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Insurity, or other P&C insurance platforms
- Knowledge of Billing, Rating, Producer/Distribution systems, or policy lifecycle processes
- Experience supporting enterprise data migration, modernization, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience working in distributed or offshore/onshore delivery models
