GeoSolutions is an Italian SME with a subsidiary in the USA, known for its expertise in open source products for the geospatial world. They are seeking a Sales Account & Business Development professional to grow their business in North America by selling solutions and services to public administrations and private companies, while managing leads and customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Management and Presales Engineers in a fast paced sales environment to identify and uncover potential customers
- Identify key decision makers and develop strategic relationships to drive revenue. Cold-call prospects to generate qualified opportunities
- Cultivate leads and interest in GeoSolutions through phone calls, email, and social prospecting
- Manage evaluation processes, including demos, seminars and technical activities onsite or online, through to a successful conclusion
- Maintain comprehensive contact, lead, activity and opportunity details in the CRM system
- Rigorously follow up and prioritize all qualified leads provided by marketing
- Provide regular activity reports and forecasts
Requirements:
- At least bachelor's degree is required, possible IT or GIS related
- 5+ years of sales and/or business development experience in the IT field, ideally with experience on FOSS4G software and solutions, is a must
- Fluent in English written and spoken
- Experience in building strong, effective internal relationships with technical teams to develop compelling proposals, demonstrating an understanding of the user's needs and the impact of addressing those needs. Aptitude to connect with customers, build and nurture relationships
- Superior knowledge of internet search technologies and approaches to source prospects and identify decision-makers
- Excellent presentation, and verbal / written communication skills and IT fluency
- Independent, with strong work ethic and self-discipline
- Experience of efficiently managing an active opportunity pipeline
