Rohde & Schwarz is a global technology company seeking a senior Business Development Manager for high-speed digital interconnects. This role focuses on leading market growth for Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) solutions, engaging with customers, and developing strategies for high-speed digital test applications.
Responsibilities:
- Define growth areas and develop an actionable strategy for addressing high-speed digital test applications
- Support account strategies with strategic customers and coordinate global R&S resources
- Build technical relationships with XPU, interconnect, and cable manufacturers
- Lead technical discussions, demos, and evaluations for high-speed digital VNA applications
- Interface with R&D to align VNA features with industry roadmaps and customer feedback
- Strong understanding of how RF metrics affect high speed digital interfaces and familiarity with standards such as PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, HDMI, USB, and DisplayPort
- Represent R&S in standard bodies and industry events
- Support & train the North American sales team on high-speed digital VNA application / use cases
- Expand R&S brand presence in the region working closely with sales teams
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience (business development, field/applications engineering, or RF test engineering) with a track record of customer engagement and account development
- Deep hands-on experience with Vector Network Analyzers
- Strong understanding of S-parameters, de-embedding and fixture calibration
- Ability to translate complex technical specs into business value
- Proven ability to collaborate across account teams and coordinate global resources to close strategic opportunities
- Candidates must reside in the US and have US citizenship or permanent work authorization
- Background supporting high-density AI cluster architectures
- Familiarity with IEEE 802.3dj ethernet standards & PCIe Gen 6 / Gen 7
- Existing relationships with major interconnect and transceiver vendors
- Remote within the US with preference for locations near major air hubs (Bay Area, Seattle, Austin). Must be able to travel domestically up to 50% and occasionally internationally
