Pyxis Management Consulting Group is a rapidly growing public sector consulting firm seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Executive to drive growth across the US West Region. The role involves developing and executing a regional growth strategy focused on state government agencies and building trusted relationships with government executives and strategic partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional growth strategy focused on state government agencies and strategic partners
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned with company growth objectives
- Lead capture activities, opportunity qualification, competitive positioning, and account planning
- Build trusted advisor relationships with government executives, program leaders, and procurement stakeholders
- Collaborate with proposal, solution, and delivery teams to develop winning strategies and value propositions
- Represent Pyxis at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Expand strategic partnerships with system integrators, technology vendors, and small-business partners to create teaming opportunities and drive growth
Requirements:
- 10+ years of state government business development and sales experience in the last 15 years
- Established network of decision-makers across state government, particularly within Health & Human Services, Transportation (DMV) and related programs
- Experience with selling consulting services including Advisory, PMO, IV&V, QA, Testing, Organizational Change Management, and Systems Modernization services
- Demonstrated success achieving revenue targets and developing long-term client relationships
- Deep understanding of state procurement processes, RFP lifecycles, and government contracting
- Experience supporting capture management, proposal development, and contract negotiations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to travel throughout the US West Region as needed
