RetentionX is the customer value and execution layer for commerce. They are seeking a Founding Sales Lead to build a new, relationship-led strategic sales motion for high-potential commerce brands, focusing on creating demand through thoughtful account development and deep relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Create and close net-new revenue from high-potential commerce brands
- Build a finite, strategic account universe and develop real relationships inside it
- Engage founders, CEOs, CMOs, Heads of eCommerce, Heads of Retention, CRM/lifecycle leaders, and relevant operators
- Run the full sales cycle from account selection and first conversation through discovery, business case, demo, negotiation, and close
- Use agencies, consultants, operators, customer referrals, and eCommerce ecosystem relationships as high-quality introduction paths into new-logo opportunities
- Develop a repeatable sales narrative around customer value, retention, LTV, growth opportunities, tracking/identity, workflows, and agentic execution
- Work with the CEO on strategic accounts, field strategy, pricing, and closing key opportunities
- Document the emerging sales playbook: ICP, account tiers, outreach principles, qualification criteria, demo flow, objections, buying triggers, and close process
