Job Title: Enterprise Vulnerability Management Analyst Job Location: Southlake, TX/Phoenix, AZ Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description: Overview:
Increased usage of AI by threat actors to exploit zero day and other patchable vulnerabilities at a much quicker rate than in the past have made it necessary to increase patching velocity to help mitigate risk and reduce exposure times.
Outcomes:
While applications currently follow their own schedule, the outcome for this project is a standardized, re-ordered patching schedule that accelerates active production workloads during the 30-day schedule.
The overall schedule should ensure:
First - non-production systems are patched and applications are validated in those environments,
Second - productions systems with an active workload will then be patched, and
Lastly, production systems that do not have an active workload will be patched (standby / passive systems).
This enables a shorter internet-accessible exposure window for vulnerabilities, while still allowing the ability to fail over to unpatched systems in the event of an unforeseen issue with patching (especially for issues that may not materialize until month-end).
Experience requirements:
Risk Analysis
Patching Knowledge of large environments across multiple OS types
Application architecture familiarity (active/active, active/passive, load balancing, failovers, geographical diversity, cloud environments, on-premises environments)
