ECS is seeking an experienced Software Business Analyst to work remotely providing software application support for the NIH NIAID Enabling and Advancing Technologies (NEAT). The role involves applying industry best practices to create business models, identify software package considerations, and support the implementation of Enterprise Clinical Information Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components
- Help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed
- Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals
- Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization
- Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks
- Support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced IT
- Collaborate with NIAID staff to capture business needs and define solution concepts
- Collaborate with NIAID staff to formally define projects, including identification of high-level requirements, level-of-effort for the proposed solution, estimated timeline, project stakeholders, and risks
Requirements:
- Experience as a Software Business Analyst
- Ability to work remotely
- Knowledge of common best practices for the industry
- Experience in creating conceptual business models
- Ability to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages
- Experience in assessing operational and functional baselines of organizations
- Ability to define direction and strategy for engagements
- Experience in identifying information technology inadequacies and deficiencies
- Ability to generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations
- Experience in participating in account strategy sessions and strategic assessments
