bioMérieux is a global leader in in vitro diagnostics, and they are seeking a Senior Market Access Strategy & Operations Manager to develop and enhance their market access strategy for the US market. This role involves working cross-functionally to ensure optimal payer coverage for both existing and pipeline products, while also shaping reimbursement strategies and coding landscapes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of US Market Access team and business segment expert, monitoring access and coverage issues, reimbursement trends, and pro-actively developing collateral and solutions to issues that arise
- Define the US Market Access strategy, through adaptation of Global Market Access tools. Provide feedback to the Global team to ensure the output satisfies the US market needs
- Represent the US Market Access team in US go-to-market and on-market processes and align the US Market Access strategy to business imperatives and needs
- Integrate the US Market Access perspective into key pipeline decisions to support optimal payer coverage for new pipeline products
- Solicit, where appropriate, feedback from Payer Engagement Directors and other US Market Access team members to ensure payer considerations are captured
- Responsible and accountable for developing the appropriate US coding strategy for new products coming to market and adjusting the coding strategy as needed for existing products and informed by evidence generation
- Collaborate effectively with brand teams and across market access to ensure strategies, priorities, tactics and resources are aligned and support the brand strategies and objectives as well as the needs of US Sales
- Utilize deep understanding of the changing healthcare landscape and the impact on both short- and long-term requirements for delivering sustainable market access and reimbursement strategies
- In coordination with Government Affairs, work with key industry associations on coding and reimbursement policies that will impact pipeline or in market products from a market access perspective. Collaborate with Payer Engagement and other US Market Access team members on coverage and other evidence needs, as appropriate
- Collaborate within the department to develop, lead, and execute a strategy plan for closing market gaps while addressing payer concerns
- Ensure all activities are conducted with a high level of integrity and compliance and are fully compliant with relevant laws, regulations and company standards of business conduct and ethics
- Design the coding strategy, code descriptor and CMS rate setting effort for new products
- Ensure submission for new codes through the AMA CPT process
- Manage technical assessment processes required by public and/or private payers
- Work with the relevant US analytics teams to draw meaningful insights on product billing practices and utilization
- Guide strategy through payer mix and coverage landscape assessment, and in collaboration with Payer Engagement Directors
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree required in Political Science, Life Sciences, Law, Economics, or other related field
- 5+ years of diagnostic experience and familiarity with competing diagnostic technologies utilized in the laboratory setting, regulatory impacts, commercialization, and reimbursement considerations
- Experience submitting diagnostic codes to AMA

- Deep understanding of the US Market Access environment (e.g., U.S. payer system, coding, pricing, reimbursement, patient access services)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the U.S. healthcare policy and market access landscape
- Advanced degree preferred (e.g., M.Sc. MBA, MPH)
- Proven track record in building relationships and advocating for policy changes
