Overjoy is building Sales AI for B2B commerce, aiming to enhance sales teams with modern software and AI. The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, acting as a liaison between customers and the product team, and providing insights to improve the product based on customer feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Own a portfolio of managed-service customers and serve as their primary technical point of contact
- Run support and account-management calls that leave customers happier and sharpen our picture of their needs
- Identify user friction by watching customers use the product, and translate it into precise, engineer-ready feedback
- Build and own the loop from 'customer pain → crisp problem statement → prototype'
- Ship quick fixes and prototypes yourself using Claude Code, without waiting on engineering
- Run discovery calls that surface real insight — not just feature wishlists
- Help lead product launches end-to-end: comms, customer education, follow-up
- Dogfood Overjoy internally for account-management workflows
Requirements:
- Comfortable interacting with customers regularly via video, email, and chat
- Strong technical communication — can write a clear, engineer-ready bug report or feature spec
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to ship real things
- Willing to work in-person from our NYC office
- Excited to work in a fast-growing startup environment
- Prior TAM, CX, CSM, APM, or solutions role at an early-stage startup
- Track record of using AI coding tools to ship features or prototypes you can point to
- Experience in CPG, B2B sales tools, or wholesale
- You've taken a customer insight all the way from discovery to a shipped launch
