The Business Development Consultant will develop profitable new business account relationships and increase profitability from existing accounts, focusing on the Public Sector, Transit, and Higher Ed industries.
Responsibilities:
- Develop profitable new business account relationships and increased profitability from existing accounts
- Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services
- Make sales presentations to existing and prospective clients informing them of benefits of using the organization’s products and services to meet their needs
- Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales
- Manage the on-going account relationship with existing customers
- Establish and maintain internal relationships
- Establish and maintain good public relationships with the community to enhance the organization's image and develop new business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically nine or more years of relevant experience
- Experience in Public Sector is a must, Transit and Higher Ed is desired
- Strong business development mindset with ability to generate new business
- Strong relationship management, build and sustain a referral network to drive client pipeline growth
- Considerable knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations
- Well-developed negotiation and decision-making skills
- Strong presentation skills, ability to present in front of decision makers
- Experience selling fintech products is highly preferred
- Experience selling merchant payment processing products is bonus, having market awareness in merchant segments in enterprise and mid-market is preferred
- Proven success in driving sales activities
