Act as the day-to-day point of contact for indirect tax compliance across jurisdictions (VAT, GST, sales tax).
Prepare, review, and reconcile indirect tax filings.
Support the preparation and review of tax returns for international entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and coordinating with external advisors.
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors across jurisdictions, including the U.S. and Canada.
Assist in annual global tax provision calculations (US GAAP / local GAAP).
Assist in the preparation and review of tax-related balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
Support the coordination and timely execution of tax payments across multiple jurisdictions globally.
Work on transfer pricing projects and documentation for intercompany transactions.
Support corporate governance across all entities.
Partner with finance, legal, and business teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.
Assist in maintaining tax forecasts, budgets, and compliance calendars.
Ensure timely payments of all taxes.
Help identify and mitigate indirect tax risks.
Support global tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Prepare documentation and audit responses related to international tax matters.
Recommend improvements to global tax compliance processes and leverage technology.
Maintain and enhance tax databases and reporting systems.
Contribute to the design and implementation of tax-efficient structures for global operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in tax or accounting, with a focus on international tax.
Strong understanding of global tax compliance and reporting.
Understanding of transfer pricing is a plus.
Analytical mindset with the ability to explain tax implications to non-tax professionals.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across global, cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Knowledge of international tax concepts (e.g., tax treaties, VAT, GST, sales tax).
No prior sales tax experience required — training provided.
