Role Overview
- Assign and lead advisory staff in the execution of engagements
- Carry out client engagements, independently or with support from team members
- Prepare and submit engagement proposals to clients
- Prepare and deliver tax seminars and workshops for clients
- Contribute to Ryan’s internal training on sales tax issues
- Support the professional development of directly reporting employees
- Prepare and finalize exception reports for clients in French
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Taxation (optional)
- Seven or more years of experience in accounting or taxation within advisory services, industry and/or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of legislation and policies related to the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Quebec Sales Tax (QST) and provincial retail sales taxes
- Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- A valid driver’s license and a Canadian passport are required
