Initiate, develop and maintain personalized business relationships with current and prospective clients to promote and sell Desjardins' products and services.
Act as an account manager and serve as a primary intermediary between the business centre and members and clients.
Ensure correct use and updating of, and satisfaction with, the products and services offered.
Analyze sources of dissatisfaction and recommend appropriate solutions.
Identify and assess member and client needs, develop tailored solutions and prepare an integrated service offering.
Negotiate applicable terms and conditions with members and clients.
Recommend strategies and solutions to help the business centre achieve objectives such as increased business volume, prudent risk management, portfolio profitability and stronger client relationships.
Use market intelligence to identify business development opportunities that enhance the competitiveness of the products and services offered.
Carry out various promotional activities as part of the centre's business operations.
Participate in targeted public relations initiatives and take an active role in the business community.
Be attentive to client and member needs to ensure full satisfaction, seize business opportunities and, where appropriate, refer them to the right specialist.
Comply with all applicable policies, practices and standards, as well as laws governing the distribution of financial products and services.
Provide sound and prudent risk management for all portfolios under their responsibility.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Knowledge of French is required
Awareness of current financial, economic, policy and legislative developments
Ability to analyze the market and the external environment of the business centre
Ability to perform financial analysis
Knowledge of the characteristics and credit risks inherent to major commercial, industrial and institutional markets
Knowledge of loan and guarantee agreements
Knowledge of business products and services offered by caisses, components and Desjardins’ distribution networks, and of competitors' offerings
Knowledge of business financing and credit management practices
Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards governing the products and services offered by the business centre
Knowledge of business credit authorization, monitoring, collection and recovery practices
Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
Understanding of the referral process
Familiarity with government business assistance programs
