Role Overview
- Assist trades team by working on active class surface ships for fleet modernization
- Perform maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions
- Perform duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid drivers license and must provide own hand tools
- Must be able to follow safety procedures
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD confidential security clearance
- Must be able to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Preferred: Graduation from vocational school, apprenticeship program, skilled trades certificate program.
- Preferred: Current or active DoD clearance
- Preferred: Current OSHA 10 Maritime Certification
- Preferred: NAVSEA Cableway Improvement certification
- Preferred: Previous Multi-Pin Connector experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of Navy Tag Out program, NSTM 300, and 3M manual.
