About this role
Role Overview
Supporting the administration and organisation of the College’s Sustained Contact Programme for Key Stage 4 students
Producing or formatting resources such as information packs, academic resources, timetables, programme advertisement using Canva
Supporting administration and logistics of on-site school visits, subject taster days, open days, and other events
Supporting the administration and organisation of outbound school visits
Providing administrative support for the recruitment and coordination of casual outreach staff
General management of the joint Outreach email inbox
Liaising with schools and event attendees
Maintaining a list of school contacts for advertising College outreach activities
Purchasing travel tickets and arranging reimbursement for programme participants
Providing administrative support to the College’s Access Working Group
Complying with child-protection, risk-assessment and other legal requirements in relation to all events, volunteers and participants
Requirements
A good standard of education, at least to A Level
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
Ability to work well and solve problems under-pressure
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
Excellent communication skills (oral, written)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of colleagues, students, and external organisations
Excellent judgement and the ability to know when to use initiative and when to seek advice
Excellent and up-to-date IT skills, with a good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
An awareness of issues of data privacy, security and legal requirements for data protection (e.g. GDPR and CMA guidelines) or the ability to learn
An awareness of child safeguarding policy and procedures or the ability to learn
An interest in higher education and an appreciation of the challenges of working in an academic environment
