Prepare detailed cost estimates for healthcare construction projects across conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP/bid phases
Utilize AI estimating software and digital takeoff tools to enhance quantity accuracy, pricing consistency, and rapid scenario analysis
Analyze drawings, specifications, and healthcare-specific requirements (e.g., AHCA, FGI Guidelines, ICRA) to define full project scope
Develop estimates that account for phasing, infection control measures, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and work in occupied environments
Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids with a focus on healthcare-experienced trade partners
Act as a liaison between the design team and subcontractors by reviewing, clarifying, and helping resolve preconstruction and estimating-related RFI’s to ensure scope alignment and minimize gaps or overlaps along with maintaining and cataloguing all RFI’s and responses/clarifications.
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction teams to align estimates with logistics, sequencing, and patient care constraints
Identify value engineering options that maintain compliance, patient safety, and operational continuity
Build and maintain cost databases specific to healthcare construction, including historical data and AI-assisted cost models
Support preparation of proposals, budgets, and client presentations for healthcare clients and stakeholders
Track estimate performance versus actual costs to continuously refine estimating accuracy
Assist in proposal preparation, bid submissions, and client presentations
