Role Overview
- Lead and manage a team delivering high-quality Direct Payment employment support
- Handle complex queries and resolve complaints with professionalism and expertise
- Provide specialist advice on employment legislation, payroll, HMRC and pension requirements
- Support service users to meet their responsibilities as employers
- Monitor performance, drive improvement, and ensure KPIs are consistently achieved
- Analyse financial information to ensure accuracy and identify anomalies
- Deliver training and mentor colleagues across the service
- Deputise for the Customer Services Manager when required
Requirements
- Strong experience in a financial or customer-focused environment
- Knowledge of employment and financial legislation (including Direct Payments)
- Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
- Experience of managing or supervising staff and driving performance
- Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Office tools
- A proactive, accountable and collaborative approach
