About this role
Role Overview
Identifies and cultivates relationships with wholesale partners to promote life or annuity insurance products.
Provides detailed knowledge of life or annuity insurance products, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages, to wholesale partners.
Solicits business from existing agents and cultivates relationships with new agents.
Delivers training sessions, marketing materials, and ongoing support to brokers and advisors.
Develops strategies to penetrate new markets and increase distribution through wholesale channels.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with brokers and agencies.
Tracks and analyzes sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.
Manages the underwriting process from application to policy issuance.
Collaborates with case managers to ensure smooth handling of cases.
Provides post-sale support including policy changes, beneficiary updates, and in-force policy management.
Stays up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new product developments.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
A Life and Health License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in life or annuity insurance sales, preferably within wholesale or brokerage channels.
Strong knowledge of life or annuity insurance products, underwriting processes, and industry standards and trends.
Strategic thinker with strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Must have a customer-centric approach with the proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
