Design salary framework, review and improve current total rewards policies and procedures, oversee salary benchmarking exercise, job design and job evaluation analysis.
Drive and document compliance with HR policies and processes, and compile data analysis reports, including workforce planning and analysis, as well as regular variance analysis and forecasts.
Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of relevant HRIS systems and processes.
Perform audits on HR processes and documentation, including hiring, termination of service.
Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls & processes.
Oversee regional compliance with work council legislation.
Oversee privacy, health and safety and payroll compliance aspects.
Lead compliance reviews and routine analysis.
Support in preparing policies, procedures and handbooks for the various regions.
Review internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.

Keeps up to date with the latest HR trends and shares them with HR Managers.
Partner with retail operations leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into HR strategies and initiatives.
Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and processes specific to the retail sector, considering industry trends and best practices.
Provide guidance and coaching to retail managers on employee relations matters, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure effective sourcing, selection, and onboarding of retail talent, including store managers, sales associates, and other retail positions.
Support retail operations in workforce planning, including analyzing staffing needs, identifying skill gaps, and recommending strategies for talent acquisition and retention.
Conduct regular HR analytics and provide insights to retail leadership on employee engagement, turnover, and other key HR metrics.
Advise and support retail managers in implementing fair and consistent HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
Stay informed about changes in HR legislation and industry trends related to the retail sector and provide guidance to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
4+ years HR controlling, or compliance experiences acquired in an international environment retail industry
preferred
Fluency in English and Dutch (written and verbal), French is a Plus
Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role within the retail sector.
Deep understanding of retail operations, including workforce dynamics, talent management, and HR challenges specific to the industry.
Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations related to the retail sector.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding solutions that balance business needs and employee satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
Proficient in HRIS and other relevant HR technology tools.
Must have knowledge/experience with local /country employment laws/regulations
