Principal Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

• Coordinate or manage a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work
• Successfully manage time and budgets of the Electrical & ICA team to key project milestones
• Responsible for leading and producing technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams and Load Schedules
• Provide technical input into project design deliverables for Electrical aspects
• Collaborate with client, operational, project, or service activities
• Provide mentorship to less experienced colleagues
• Work independently with minimal technical guidance

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer
• Proven experience in coordinating or managing an Electrical engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Electrical designs
• Practical knowledge of water company design codes and standards
• Good awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as Trimble/Amtech
• Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
• Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
