Role Overview
Manage the Salesforce and other sovereign tooling for CSS-EU, including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies, and jurisdictional access rules
Define and audit security rules around reporting, list views, and data downloads to protect sensitive customer metadata
Build and maintain custom objects, formula fields, flows, and dashboards within Salesforce to optimize the sovereign support workflow
Lead data management tasks, including sandbox refreshes and data loader jobs (CRUD operations) for cases and objects, ensuring strict adherence to EU data residency
Collaborate with the US-based SCT Tooling team to influence the development of the Service Cloud (SCT)
Act as an escalation point for non-routine, complex software issues impacting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related platforms
Identify root causes at the source-code level and develop code-level fixes, workarounds, or CVE backports in collaboration with Engineering
Provide high-touch technical support for EU-based government and regulated industry customers via web, phone, and secure remote sessions
Drive regional knowledge-sharing (KCS) and mentor mid-level engineers on both technical support and sovereign operational protocols.
Requirements
Must be an EU Citizen or Permanent Resident and currently reside within the European Union
7+ years of experience in Linux systems administration or software engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level troubleshooting
3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce administration, specifically managing security models and complex workflows
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is required
Proficiency in bash scripting and debugging tools (e.g., strace, Wireshark, gdb) and the ability to analyze kernel-level issues
Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical and jurisdictional requirements to both engineering and executive stakeholders.
