Mobile Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

THUNK is an early-stage mental wellness and self-reflection app focused on helping users better understand their thought patterns. They are seeking a motivated and thoughtful student for a Mobile Engineering Intern position to contribute to core product and user experience development while gaining exposure to startup workflows and software engineering mentorship.

Responsibilities:

• Improving onboarding and journaling flows
• Building and refining app features
• Designing and iterating on UX/UI experiences
• Working with Firebase backend systems
• Creating custom frontend components and interactions
• Improving usability and user flow clarity
• Helping shape product decisions and roadmap discussions
• Own or co-own a meaningful product initiative during the summer

Requirements:

• Motivated and thoughtful student interested in software engineering, product development, UX, and startups
• Ability to work closely with the founder
• Ability to receive technical guidance from a software engineer
• Participation in networking conversations with alumni from Princeton University
• Contribute to core product and user experience development for THUNK

• Comfortable learning independently and collaborating closely
• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or related field
• Interest in software engineering and/or UX
• Familiarity with frontend development concepts
• Experience with personal projects, hackathons, clubs, research, or startups is a plus
• GitHub, portfolio, design work, or projects (optional but encouraged)
