Manufacturing Plant Management is accountable for all processes/teams associated with manufacturing, engineering, and production across the plant including: Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Production Operations, Manufacturing Repair & Maintenance Operations, Manufacturing Production Planning & Control, Quality, Environmental and Employee Health & Safety.
Individuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources. Leaders typically manage two or more direct reports.
Responsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
Responsible for people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
Progression within the levels reflects increase in scope and responsibilities as well as growth in business and industry experience, process and people leadership capabilities, and broad technical expertise.
Manages subordinate management and/or experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence.
Often heads one or more departments. Allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual business plans.
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Requires a comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles in own discipline and knowledge of other disciplines.
Solves complex problems leveraging resources within or outside the organization.

Assignments are objective oriented; work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and timelines. Decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause critical delays and modifications to projects or operations and substantial expenditure of resources.
Interacts frequently with internal and external leadership and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications. Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; 3+ years of plant leadership experience in a similar environment in lieu of a degree
3+ years leading a manufacturing plant with full site accountability
Ability to manage end-to-end plant operations (production, maintenance, quality, EHS)
Strong business acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership, budgeting experience, and a track record of improving financial and operational performance
Experience leading and developing cross-functional leadership teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment; union experience preferred
Experience working in manufacturing environments or related industries
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
Knowledge of SQF or comparable quality standards.
