About this role
Role Overview
- Plan and develop conventional engineering and scientific solutions for technical problems or project objectives using SRMC engineering methodologies and requirements
- Assume technical responsibility for one or more phases of a program and/or ownership for unit operations within processing facilities
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative improvements to existing processes
- Provide project engineering and facility engineering support
- Develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Control Logic Diagrams, Instrument Loop Drawings, Segment Drawings, Instrument Location and Installation Drawings, and technical calculations
- Select and size instruments and control valves
- Develop procurement requirements, specifications and data sheets
- Perform vendor drawing reviews, design reviews, and commercial grade dedication
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with professional engineering experience
- Knowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices to develop appropriate outputs
- Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards
- Experience with DCS and PLC interfaces
- Proficiency with 2D MicroStation v8 CADD
- Ability to perform walkdowns
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment with multiple demands and priorities
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
