Role Overview
- Contribute to System Safety Programs and to overall product Safety Cases
- Contribute to the completion of program milestones
- Conduct system safety analysis and deliver associated system safety deliverables in accordance with the agreed schedule
- Conduct reviews of supplier safety analysis and liaise with suppliers on system safety related matters
- Populate the hazard tracking system and manage the associated data
- Assist with the planning, co-ordination, and conduct of system safety working groups
- Provide status and estimate remaining effort for assigned tasks
- Identify and escalate risks using defined processes
- Provide support to design reviews throughout the product lifecycle
Requirements
- Requires a System Safety or risk assessment qualification(s)
- Desirable to have Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and/or Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) qualification(s)
- Desirable to have familiarity with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
- Desirable to have familiarity with MIL-STD-882E
- Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering
- Experience in carrying out hazard identification and analysis tasks including: Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Health Hazard Analysis, Operation Support Hazard Analysis, Sub System Hazard Analysis, System Hazard Analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to solve complex problems
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and have an active or be able to obtain Negative Vetting 1 Australian Defence Security Clearance.
