About this role

Build new back-end features, services, and APIs, and improve existing ones
Analyse and understand functional and technical requirements
Work on statistical and analytical features end-to-end
Review pull requests from other engineers
Maintain applications and perform code and infrastructure upgrades
Handle data migrations, backfilling, and large dataset operations
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, the Tech Lead, and other stakeholders
Mentor and coach other Software Engineers
Troubleshoot issues reported by users
Contribute ideas and prototypes for AI-powered product features

Demonstrated senior-level expertise in Software Engineering with proven back-end experience
Strong Python fundamentals
Hands-on experience with Django
Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
Experience designing and building REST APIs at scale
Solid testing practice — unit and integration
Comfortable with applied statistics
An active, opinionated user of AI coding assistants
Fluent in English, written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
