Oversee the administration of all departmental budgets
Screen and approve expenditures; review and verify transactions
Provide monthly financial reports to account owners
Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
Oversee grant management activities
Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and internal controls
Supervise departmental financial staff; provide guidance, training, and mentorship
Monitor and manage all departmental personnel and payroll activities

Bachelor of Science
3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (Business Manager B)
5 to 7 years of experience is preferred
Demonstrated experience supporting financial operations, budgeting, and personnel or payroll processes
5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination for Business Manager C
Advanced experience in financial management, budget planning and forecasting, personnel administration, and staff supervision
A cover letter is required including a description of sponsored programs & supervisory experience
Experience with Penn financial systems (BEN Financials, Workday, Hyperion Planning, Business Objects, PennERA) is preferred but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
