Role Overview
- Develop and maintain mainframe-based applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
- Own end-to-end design, development, testing, and successful deployment of application code from an Omni Dev perspective
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and quality assurance activities to uphold high standards of application quality
- Identify, triage, and resolve application defects and performance issues in a timely manner
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practice development within the team
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at modernizing and optimizing existing application landscapes
Requirements
- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL development
- 5+ years of experience working with JCL in a mainframe environment
- 5+ years of experience with VSAM file structures and data management
- 5+ years of experience with DB2 database technologies, including query writing and performance optimization
- Working understanding of CA7 for job scheduling and workload automation
- Working understanding of Endevor for software change and configuration management
- University (Degree) Preferred
