About this role
Role Overview
- Participate in kaizen/ideation events with the VE/CE team and R&D to Manage VE/CE project liaising with R&D, manufacturing, sourcing and commercial teams to define the work. Monitor progress and manage risks to achieve successful completion.
- Review / modify the current electronic board design considering the current technologies in terms of component, materials & process, propose ideations to reduce BoM cost by redesign & optimization.
- Conduct redesign activities of an existing product using DFX (design for manufacturing / testability)
- Develop test plans and test procedures to implement changes.
- Build and test prototypes and follow up on implementation in production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent subject
- Experience in designing/developing electronic products
- Knowledge of Value Engineering principles and techniques
- Knowledge of PCB CAD design systems, CAD tools, EMC, and Simulation Tools
- Knowledge of Fire standards
