Participate in kaizen/ideation events with the VE/CE team and R&D to Manage VE/CE project liaising with R&D, manufacturing, sourcing and commercial teams to define the work. Monitor progress and manage risks to achieve successful completion.
Review / modify the current electronic board design considering the current technologies in terms of component, materials & process, propose ideations to reduce BoM cost by redesign & optimization.
Conduct redesign activities of an existing product using DFX (design for manufacturing / testability)
Develop test plans and test procedures to implement changes.
Build and test prototypes and follow up on implementation in production.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent subject
Experience in designing/developing electronic products
Knowledge of Value Engineering principles and techniques
Knowledge of PCB CAD design systems, CAD tools, EMC, and Simulation Tools
Knowledge of Fire standards
