About this role
Role Overview
Own P&L accountability, understanding, influencing, and delivering against growth and profitability targets.
Set and drive the strategic direction for Business Unit(s) in partnership with European leadership.
Lead senior-level relationships with vendors and customers, acting as escalation point where required.
Develop, own, and execute divisional and vendor business plans, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Identify market growth opportunities and build clear, executable plans to capitalise on them.
Drive share of wallet, market share, and long-term commercial performance.
Provide strategic input into purchasing, sales, and pricing policy.
Recruit, lead, coach, and develop teams to achieve Business Unit objectives.
Build strong channel and stakeholder relationships internally and externally, up to board level.
Increase the visibility and profile of the Business Unit across the organisation and wider market.
Contribute new ideas that influence planning and execution at both strategic and operational levels.
Requirements
Proven experience with P&L ownership in a complex commercial environment.
Strong commercial negotiation skills and confident decision-making capability.
Ability to build and influence relationships at multiple levels, including executive stakeholders.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, business planning, and performance review capability.
Strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven leadership experience, including recruitment and development of senior talent.
Solid understanding of the IT marketplace, including customers, vendors, and competition.
Highly numerate, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and pride in delivery.
