Founding Engineer - Product Development

Brandcliqs is hiring a Founding Engineer to build its core marketing platform from the ground up. The role owns end-to-end product engineering, including integrations, marketing data infrastructure, analytics, and early engineering team development.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build the platform end to end: frontend, backend, data pipelines, and infrastructure
• Build integrations with major marketing channels and APIs (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, GA4, email platforms, CRMs, and more)
• Architect a scalable data layer for ingesting, normalizing, and analyzing multi-channel marketing data
• Develop the analytics dashboards and insight engine, including ML/LLM-powered features where they add real value
• Ship quickly and iterate with early customers; turn feedback into product decisions
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, and observability
• Partner with the founder on product roadmap, technical strategy, and prioritization
• Help recruit, onboard, and mentor the first engineering hires

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time at an early-stage startup or building products from scratch
• Strong full-stack skills (for example TypeScript/React with Node.js or Python backend)
• Experience with data-heavy products: ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing (BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, etc.), and building analytics or reporting features
• Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs and handling OAuth, rate limits, and data syncing
• Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern DevOps practices
• Ability to work independently, make pragmatic trade-offs, and ship under ambiguity
• Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership over outcomes, not just tasks
• Background in martech, adtech, or marketing analytics
• Experience with attribution modeling, marketing mix modeling, or experimentation
• Experience building with LLMs, recommendation systems, or ML pipelines
• Prior experience as a founder, founding engineer, or early engineering hire
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS and handling data privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
